Vinay Manchanda

Vinay is a Managing Director in the New Delhi office and is part of the Valuation Advisory practice.

He has over 17 years of experience in business valuation, intangible assets valuation, valuation of illiquid securities, etc. He has overseen a variety of engagements involving M&A transactions, fund raise, restructuring, fairness opinions, disputes and settlements, etc.

Vinay has been advising corporates clients on valuation matters for strategic decision making, financial reporting, i.e., purchase price allocation, impairment assessment, financial instrument valuations (Ind AS, US GAAP, IFRS), regulatory filings (Income tax, RBI/FEMA, SEBI), etc. He has also advised banks and financial institutions in assessing valuation of companies in distress and/or undergoing liquidation.

Further, he has been assisting AIFs including venture capital funds, private equity and credit funds with portfolio monitoring and valuation as per IPEV.

During the course of his career, Vinay has served clients across US, Middle East, South Africa, Japan, Korea, UK, and India across broad range of industries, including, technology, consumer and retail, life sciences, healthcare, infrastructure, media and telecom, among others.

Vinay has co-authored ‘Corporate Valuation’ and ‘Control Premiums in India’ publications. He has been a speaker at Business Valuation summit 2019, VC Circle – Start up Valuation  Workshop 2024, numerous workshops/conferences organized by professional bodies like ICAI, ICMAI, Banks, Law firms, B-schools.

Prior to joining Kroll, Vinay has worked with the Valuation practice of PwC, Deloitte and Grant Thornton.

He received a Master in Business Administration in Finance from IBS-Hyderabad and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Navodit Mittal

Navodit Mittal is a Director in the Mumbai office of Kroll, and part of the Portfolio Valuation service line within the Alternative Asset Advisory business unit.

Navodit joined Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) post completing his MBA and has over 7 years of valuation experience, providing an array of valuation advisory services to corporate clients and alternative asset managers, including credit funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds and private equity funds worldwide. Navodit specializes in mark-to-market valuations across diverse portfolios of illiquid and privately held securities including common equity, debt, convertible debt, distressed investments, preferred equity, options, warrants, derivatives and other structured products under the guidelines of ASC§820 or the equivalent local GAAP standard. He also has extensive experience with valuing early-stage and growth companies across industries including e-Commerce, Financial Services, IT consulting, Healthcare and Consumer Services.

He has contributed to thought leadership on preferred equity valuation, including co-authoring a whitepaper published in April 2025 that examines the role of liquidation preferences in today’s market environment.

Navodit received his MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, India and his Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical) from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jaipur, India. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of India.

Manu Iyer

Manu Iyer runs Bluehill Capital, an early-stage VC fund, focusing on hardware, clean-tech and deep-tech startups, through which capital has been deployed for 8 investments in the space to date. He is also Partner in Bluehill Retail, a retailing and distribution business that partners with several international and Indian electronics, lifestyle and apparel brands. He is a B.Tech Electrical Engr from IIT Madras and has completed his MBA from Duke University in the US. After working in Financial Services in the US, he had shifted base to India, to start off on his own. He is an active angel investor, through Indian Angel Network and Inflection Point Ventures, and a TIE Charter Member. He serves on a board of several startups and also works closely with various startups in the ecosystem to guide and mentor them.

Manu Iyer is the Co-founder and General Partner at Bluehill.VC, a SEBI-registered ?400 Cr venture capital fund investing in deep-tech startups across defense, space, semiconductors, energy, water, materials, IoT, industrial tech, and agri-tech in India. The fund has already backed two startups: one developing a reusable medium-lift launch vehicle, taking on SpaceX in the process and another building counter-drone defense systems with contracts signed with the Coast Guard and Army. Prior to this Manu has actively invested in various deep-tech ecosystems and incubators including the IITs, IISc, NITs and others.  An IIT Madras Electrical Engineering alumnus and Duke MBA, Manu has a strong focus on the EV and energy ecosystem, with investments in Raptee, AutoNXT, Plugzmart, The Energy Company, Fyn Mobility. Post his MBA, he worked in Financial Services in the US and later in India founded an algo-trading platform and has invested in 30+ startups as an active angel investor, also being part of The Chennai Angels, Indian Angel Network, and a TiE Charter Member.

He serves on boards of companies like Detect Technologies, Raptee, Pi Beam, Mage, Mobiveil, Skillveri and sits on the Advisory Committee and Investment Committee of Immersive Technology Entrepreneurship Labs (ITEL), a a deep-tech lab (section 8 company) led by Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala of IIT Madras, supported by leaders like Kris Gopalakrishnan, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Anand Deshpande, Arun Jain and Mukesh Bansal.
